MORE DETAILS ON ZRC COLD GALVANIZING COMPOUND

ZRC cold galvanizing compound  is a superior zinc coating technology having high zinc loading (95% by weight in the dry film) for the rust protection of iron and steel. An equivalent of the hot dip galvanizing but with several advantages over hot process e.g. :

    • ZRC is ecofriendly, non-toxic & non-hazardous, meets VOC Standards
    • It is single component battle grey finished.
    • It is more impact resistant than hot dip. Galvanizes and primes in one easy coat.
    • Eliminates hot dip embrittlement, will not clog threads thus eliminates re-tapping.
    • Bends without “flaking” and separating from surface.
    • No costly transportation or downtime.
    • No hot dip warpage. Better job quality control.
    • No job limitation. Schedule work at convenience before or after fabrication.
    • Much thinner coats than Hot Dip Galvanizing, yet better corrosion resistance.
    • Above all no heating and almost zero pollution.

ZRC can be applied via dipping, spraying or brushing, can be done in factory or at job site. Thus no elaborate factory set-up needed. A US gallon (3.8 Ltr.) of ZRC will provide one coat of approx. 1.5 mil. (37.5µ) dry film over 400 sq. ft.(40 sq. mts.) of surface.. ZRC compounds have been formulated to tolerate the rigors of short and long distance shipping and will not settle out and compact. They can be easily stirred back into full dispersion.
